melissa hudson realtor in fairwood renton

Hi everyone, Melissa here. I grew up in Renton and graduated from Lindbergh High School. I currently live in Fairwood with my husband Josh and my three kids. Both Josh and I have deep community ties in Fairwood, Renton, and Maple Valley.

Because of this, I understand the unique King County area and the complexities of each neighborhood. I’ve helped families from Redmond all the way down to Tacoma buy and sell homes, and everywhere in-between. I'm proud to say that I consistently help 60-70 families buy or sell every year!

I also believe in giving back to the community. I am involved in the local schools, charity organizations, the Fairwood Alliance, The Family First Foundation, and the Renton Chamber of Commerce. I will put my unique talents to work for you in finding the perfect home or listing your current one!

Karen Hake

Licensed Broker

As a member of the leading Rosie Rourke team, I have been an integral part of a team with solid results. In 2021, we closed 210 transactions; 55 of those were my own clients!

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and have lived in the Fairwood community since 1988, where my husband and I raised our three kids. We continue to be deeply rooted in the community and I have a long history of involvement in our local schools, scouts, and theater, currently serving on the Kent Schools Foundation board. My husband is a local business owner, and we both love to travel, exploring the globe, both locally and afar!

As a real estate broker, I feel incredibly privileged to work with clients, helping them with one of the largest financial decisions they will ever make. I am committed to providing exceptional service every day and know that each client is unique and deserves my best.

When you do what you love, results show and I’m grateful for the trust invested in me by so many clients!. Having worked all over Puget Sound, I strive to be a trusted resource for all things home related and am confident that my experience can help you with your home buying/selling journey too!

Lexie Pray

Licensed Broker

Hello everyone, I'm Lexie! I grew up in the Fairwood neighborhood of Renton and graduated from Washington State University. I have loved being a part of both Eastern and Western Washington communities.

I became interested in real estate at a young age due to my parents always remodeling our homes. From this, I was able to see the house "flipping" process from both the buying and selling side. When I got the opportunity to be a part of the Rosie Rourke Team I knew I had a jump at the chance.

I love helping all types of clients, especially first-time homebuyers. I understand the excitement, the questions, and the anxieties that come with this significant step. My mission is to make the process easy and seamless, ensuring the journey to homeownership is a joyful one.

Outside of real estate, I am married to my high school sweetheart, Tyler and we have an adorable mini-goldendoodle named Shoop. I love outdoor activities, embracing a healthy lifestyle, hot yoga, and trying new local restaurants.

Melissa Whitt

Licensed Broker

I began my real estate career in 2006 following a successful career as a Project Manager for a commercial electrical contractor working with clients throughout the United States and Canada.

A lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, I was raised in Woodinville, attended the University of Washington, have lived from Seattle to Sammamish, and currently reside in Maple Valley with my husband and two teenage daughters. When not working, you will find me driving carpool and watching youth sports, reading, cooking, gardening, hiking, camping, or skiing.

Clients say that my enthusiasm for buying and selling homes is contagious and I am not surprised! I am truly passionate about real estate and the opportunity to join in partnership with my clients as we work together to achieve their housing goals.

My clients are my top priority, and it is an honor to apply my industry expertise to the challenges of financing, house-hunting, staging, negotiations, and closing with competence and confidence. Closing is almost always bittersweet since it means I will no longer get to see my clients as often! I have had previous clients ask to join me when I preview properties for other clients since they miss getting to do that together.

I possess an open, direct, and always authentic communication style and I am well regarded for my ability to develop positive and productive relationships with other brokers, lenders, escrow and title representatives.

I understand what it takes to win deals in a competitive market, while maintaining a keen focus on minimizing the risks for clients.

Beyond the practical demands of the buying and selling process, it is the opportunity to develop lifelong relationships that makes me as excited about the privilege to work in real estate today as I was 15 years ago.

When I’m not working, I serve as a regular volunteer with organizations that support homeless men and women in South King County including HOME and the Union Gospel Mission’s KentHOPE.

Caitlin Reed

Licensed Broker & Listing Manager

Hello! My name is Caitlin and I grew up in the LA area but have lived in WA now for about 20+ years, of that time I have lived in the Covington area for about half. Prior to joining the team I worked in the real estate industry in a variety of roles, helping me to learn all angles of a transaction. I started in 2011 as an assistant on a short sale team, later worked as a Transaction Coordinator on a team, and then spent a few years as an agent. The knowledge I have gained from each of these roles really has allowed me to learn the full picture so I can assist in making this as smooth as possible for our clients. I strive to keep this process as stress free and simple as possible for you!

When I am not at work, you can find me on the sidelines of a soccer field cheering my kids on, out exploring new bars and restaurants with my husband, or snuggled up with my Rottweiler at home watching a movie. I also love getting time to go to Disneyland, or any travel really; and I am constantly working on some new project at my house.

Joanne Johnson Cox

Licensed Broker & Home Concierge + Designer

A few years ago, I decided to move to the south end of Puget Sound to be closer to my family. At that time, I received a call from my sister, Rosie with an opportunity to join her fabulous real estate team. When I first started with the team, my sister, Sandie was also working on the team and I could think of no better place to be than with my sisters, learning a new industry.

I've always enjoyed real estate and design, so being the Team Concierge and Designer has been a perfect fit for me. Our team is incredible; we're a force of encouragement and support for our clients as they handle one of the biggest investments of their lives. I am proud to say I am a member of this dream team!

Before joining the Rosie Rourke Team, I was an owner/operator of a painting company for over 25 years and lived in the north end of Puget Sound for over 38 years. There I raised two beautiful and talented children, and in turn, I have gained a son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and two incredible grandchildren.

Stephanie Akkir

Licensed Broker & Transaction Coordinator

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I am the licensed Transaction Coordinator for the team. I’m a Renton resident with 16+ years real estate experience. I began my real estate career as a Broker Services Representative and with that experience, I learned first-hand the complexities of the industry, and this helped me fine-tune my skills and gain a comprehensive understanding of the contract-to-close process. I am detail-oriented and I love assisting clients in achieving their real estate goals and dreams.

I love all things Seattle, most especially our Seattle Sounders! When I’m not cheering them on, I’m supporting our local restaurants, breweries, and museums. I also love to travel and spend time with loved ones.

Rachel Lott

Licensed Broker & Director of Operations

I grew up in the San Francisco area and moved to Washington 16 years ago with my husband, Jim. Since that time we have lived in the Fairwood neighborhood for the last 12 years and welcomed to the world our amazing daughters, Madison and Ava. Like most of us on the team, I was a Rosie Rourke Team client before I became the Director of Operations. Most recently, Jim and I have purchased The Wine Alley, a neighborhood wine and beer shop.

I am passionate about helping our community and I find a variety of ways to give back. In addition, I have a certification in Nonprofit Management from UW. Prior to joining the team I was a Program Management consultant & the Director of Operations/HR for a management & IT consulting firm.

In my free time, I enjoy the theater, concerts, trying new restaurants, getting outdoors, avidly reading, completing puzzles, spending time with friends & family, & traveling the world.

Josh Hudson

Director of Business Development & Marketing

Hi everyone, I'm the marketing director and the first ever male to be on the Rosie Rourke Team!  Rosie always said she wanted to higher man, just was just waiting for the right one, me! As a graduate of Washington State University in 2005 with a degree in political science, I planned on attending law school sometime in 2006. I decided to pivot and join my family's photography business and help my dad Bruce Hudson run the company. My passion for the family business grew and my eagerness to assist with all aspects of the studio’s operations continued to grow my knowledge of the day-to-day operations. I also was able to put my marketing skills to work helping grow Hudson's Portrait Design into a top 1% portrait studio. I also was a sought after speaker in the photography world on business and marketing, and I traveled all over the US and Canada teaching photographers how to be better marketers.

Fast forward to 2009, I decided to start my own creative market agency with my wife Melissa (Rosie's lead listing agent) called H5 Creative. I've worked with fortune 500 companies as well as local businesses helping them navigate the ever changing marketing landscape. This is where I first met Rosie! She hired us to help her with her marketing. Fast forward to present day and I am now a part of the team!

I co-wrote a book called The Relationographer, The Art of Relationship Marketing and have been in featured in numerous national publications including Bill Glazer's Outrageous Multi-Step Marketing Campaigns and Dan Kennedy's Monthly Newsletter. I bring a wealth of knowledge from outside of the real estate world and help our team market our client's homes like no else in the industry.

When I'm not doing my marketing thing I love spending time with my 3 kids (Natalie, Reese and Wyatt), golfing, cooking, traveling, and sipping on a nice glass of wine!
